Pahang Government Expands Educational Initiative to Include Form Four Students

Pahang: The Pahang government has announced plans to extend its Makmur Pahang SPM Reference and Exercise Book Initiative to include Form Four students starting next year. This decision marks a significant expansion of the program, which originally targeted SPM candidates.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail shared that the decision follows an application from the Pahang State Education Department. However, he noted that more detailed information is necessary before final approval can be granted. The initiative will initially concentrate on core subjects to ensure a strong foundation for students.

During the launch of the 2026 Makmur Pahang Reference and Exercise Book Initiative at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Felda Purun, Wan Rosdy revealed that the program now includes reference and exercise books for Additional Mathematics and Science. This addition increases the total number of subject modules available to SPM students in Pahang to six. The initiative previously covered Bahasa Melayu, English, History, and Mathematics.

Wan Rosdy emphasized the state government's commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for students in Pahang. He stated the importance of nurturing a generation that upholds strong moral values, good manners, courtesy, and integrity.
