Perak: The Perak government plans to enhance its Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs, extending beyond technical fields to include culinary arts, which promise substantial incomes for locals. Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad emphasized the growing importance of TVET in the culinary sector, highlighting that cooking is increasingly seen as an art form with significant economic potential.

He pointed out the popularity of cooking shows like Master Chef among Malaysians and announced that Perak would host the Malaysia Culinary World Cup 2025 (MCWC 2025), with 800 participants from Malaysia and 16 other countries competing in 65 categories.
