‘Perlis Connect’ Increases Digital Literacy, Empowers Entrepreneurs

Padang besar: The 'Perlis Connect' programme held at Padang Besar Street here expands digital awareness, empowers users, and supports the local innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem through various interactive initiatives and activities.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, some of the interesting content of the programme included an information session on international roaming services, cybersecurity through the Safe Internet Campaign (KIS), a demonstration of the MCMC NEXUS application, and an exhibition and sale of local products by entrepreneurs from the National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI).

This programme aims to expand digital awareness, empower users, and support the local innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. It also serves as a strategic platform to expose the public to advancements in technology and communication," the statement said.

Also at the programme was the MCMC Complaints Counter to facilitate the public in making reports, obtaining advice, and accessing information related to communication services, thus bringing services closer to the people.

Bernama also contributed its editorial expertise and leveraged its media platforms to broaden the reach of local entrepreneurs' success stories. This effort was carried out through live interview sessions, news coverage, and live broadcasts from Bernama's Mobile Studio (motorhome) at the programme location.

The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail launched the programme.

Also present at the opening ceremony were Perlis State Legislative Assembly speaker Rus'sele Eizan and Communications Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa.

Others present were MCMC commission member Gen (Rtd) Tan Sri Zulkifeli Mohd Zin, Bernama chief executive officer Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin, MCMC managing director Abdul Karim Fakir Ali and Bernama editor-in-chief Arul Rajoo Durar Raj.
