Kuala lumpur: The seat distribution of Pakatan Harapan (PH) component parties for the Johor and Negeri Sembilan state elections has generally been agreed upon at the coalition secretariat level, with the official decision expected to be finalised at the PH presidential council meeting soon, said PH secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Saifuddin, who is also PKR vice-president, stated that the seat distribution was agreed upon at the PH secretariat meeting he chaired. However, based on practice and formality, this decision requires presentation to the PH presidential council for the final decision.
"So the next process is to give confirmation (of the seat distribution decision). There will be a PH presidential council meeting chaired by the Prime Minister (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim). I will present it there (meeting) then it will have final status," he told reporters after the Home Ministry's monthly assembly here today.
Previously, PH announced that it would contest all 56 state seats in Johor in the upcoming state election. PH chairman and Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun announced on Thursday that the coalition would contest all 36 state seats.
