PM Anwar Extends Contribution to MAF Veteran with Ailing Leg

Kuantan: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has presented a donation to a Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) veteran, Yusuf Awang, who is suffering from a nerve problem in his leg. The donation was presented by the Prime Minister's political secretary, Datuk Ahmad Farhan Fauzi, who visited Yusuf at his residence in Kampung Alor Ladang, Beserah in Kuantan, Pahang.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Farhan stated that the cash donation and food basket were given to Yusuf as a gesture of appreciation for his sacrifices. "Pakcik Yusuf is facing a nerve problem in his leg that limits his everyday movements. However, behind this weakness, the determination of the soldier who once stood bravely to defend the homeland is evident. May Allah SWT continue to grant him health, perseverance, and blessings in his life. The sacrifices of people like Pakcik Yusuf are the foundation for the blessings of peace that we enjoy today," he mentioned in a Facebook post that was also shared by the Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Farhan also extended a contribution on behalf of the Prime Minister to a policeman, Sergeant N. Yasotharan, who is battling chronic diabetes, at his residence in Indera Mahkota, Kuantan. Farhan highlighted that the cash assistance and food basket given to Yasotharan reflect that the sacrifices of a police officer are never overlooked. "Yasotharan has been incapacitated by chronic diabetes, which caused his leg to be amputated. He also requires regular dialysis treatment and is now facing vision problems. My heart was deeply moved to see the condition of a police officer who once stood tall to safeguard the people's safety, now lying down enduring such a heavy trial . truly, it is the service of individuals like him that form the pillar of our nation's peace," he expressed in a Facebook post also shared by the Prime Minister.

Ahmad Farhan also offered prayers for Yasotharan, hoping he would be granted healing and strength to overcome the challenges he is facing.
