Preparations For Malaysia Day 2025 In Penang At 85 Pct – Deputy State Secretary

Penang: Preparations for the Malaysia Day 2025 celebration at PICCA@Arena Butterworth Convention Centre on September 16 have reached 85 percent and are progressing smoothly, Penang Deputy State Secretary Muhamad Ghopran Yeop Hamzah said. He mentioned that the venue's main hall can accommodate up to 6,000 visitors, with ample facilities provided by the state government, including parking bays and food trucks, to ensure a comfortable experience for all attendees.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Muhamad Ghopran stated that the state government would implement a one-way traffic system in front of the convention centre to ensure smooth traffic flow during the celebration. Additionally, a full dress rehearsal is scheduled for the day before the event. Several media interview sessions have been arranged as part of efforts to promote the event.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow invited members of the public to join the historic celebration at the convention centre, which will be held in the state for the first time. He emphasized the opportunity to bring together people from all states, including Sabah and Sarawak, to celebrate an event that highlights cultural diversity and strengthens the spirit of unity. Chow expressed confidence that the celebration would further strengthen the spirit of togetherness among the people of the peninsula, Sabah, and Sarawak.
