Kuala lumpur: Prudential Assurance Malaysia Bhd (PAMB) has appointed Malaysian industry veteran Kelvin Ang as the new chief executive officer (CEO) of its life business in Malaysia.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, PAMB announced in a statement that Ang brings over 26 years of experience in the insurance sector to his new role. His previous positions include serving as president and CEO of AIA Philippines. Ang's career has also seen him in leadership roles across Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.

PAMB highlighted Ang's extensive expertise in a variety of areas, including agency development, business and technology transformation, mergers and acquisitions, and driving organisational agility across various Asian markets. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to strengthen PAMB's presence and operational efficiency in the region.
