Pulau pangkor: Pulau Pangkor Health Clinic has filed a police report following a viral video that alleged delays in the ambulance response to a fatal accident involving a dental officer from Jelapang Health Clinic on Jalan Pasir Bogak.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, State Human Resources, Health, Indian Community Affairs, and National Integration Committee chairman Datuk A. Sivanesan refuted the claims that an ambulance took up to two hours to reach the scene, describing them as "baseless" and inconsistent with the health ministry's records. He stated that call logs from the Medical Emergency Call Centre indicated that the call was received at 10.57 am and transferred to Pulau Pangkor Health Clinic by 11.01 am. The ambulance team departed immediately and arrived at the scene by 11.12 am, taking just two minutes from the clinic.

A two-minute video recently emerged on social media, featuring a man who claimed there were delays in the emergency response at the crash site. The accident resulted in the death of a 30-year-old woman yesterday morning at approximately 10.55 am when the rented motorcycle she was riding skidded near Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SJKC) Hua Lian in Pulau Pangkor.

Sivanesan assured that Perak's state health department would continue to monitor developments closely and issue an official statement if necessary.

Additionally, Manjung district police chief ACP Hasbullah Abdul Rahman reported that initial investigations revealed the victim was riding a Yamaha Avantiz motorcycle from Pangkor town towards Pasir Bogak. At the location, she appears to have lost control, skidded, and fallen, sustaining serious injuries before being rushed to Pulau Pangkor Health Clinic by ambulance. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at 12.11 pm.

Hasbullah stated that the police are conducting an investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 and appealed for anyone with information to contact Inspector Mohd Shahizan Shaari at 05-6899072.
