Kuala lumpur: Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, graced the Malaysian Girl Guides Association (PPPM) awards ceremony to present the Queen's Guide Award to 61 PPPM members at Istana Negara today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the arrival of Her Majesty, who is also the Royal Patron of the Girl Guides, was received by PPPM president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and PPPM chief commissioner Datuk Yeoh Soo Keng. The awards were presented to PPPM members for their achievements in leadership, community services, and commitment to upholding the values and principles of Girl Guides.
Dr Wan Azizah, in her speech, expressed hope that the recognition would boost the recipients' determination to continue leveraging the values of leadership, acquire more knowledge, and contribute to the community, race, and country. She emphasized that with their determination, knowledge, skills, and experience, PPPM members are capable of becoming valuable individuals and contributing to the development of the country.
Dr Wan Azizah further stated that this achievement is valuable and will be treasured throughout their lives. She encouraged the recipients to use this experience to face future challenges with more confidence, both at school and in life. She acknowledged the significance of the ceremony to parents, who always offer support and guidance, and now witness their children's success.
