Kuala lumpur: Sharp Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is enhancing consumer engagement via its collaboration with Japanese electrical appliances retailer Nojima Malaysia, alongside plans to expand its broader Japanese brand ecosystem. Its managing director Ting Yang Chung said the collaboration, which kicked off at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre, served as a starting point for broader expansion involving more Japanese brands and cross-industry partnerships.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ting mentioned that LaLaport is the first key area, especially for Japanese brands and customers seeking authentic Japanese products. The collaboration is not limited to electronics but extends to various industries, including food and beverages, aiming to offer a comprehensive Japanese lifestyle experience. During the launching ceremony, it was highlighted that Sharp Malaysia continues to explore partnerships beyond traditional retail sectors, integrating lifestyle elements to create a holistic Japanese living experience.
On growth targets, Ting emphasized the importance of strengthening brand engagement and delivering differentiated value propositions to consumers over merely achieving numerical targets. Meanwhile, in a separate statement accompanying the launch, Sharp Malaysia outlined that the collaboration under the 'Japanese Living to My Home' concept is aimed at redefining modern living by infusing authentic Japanese design, innovation, and service philosophy into Malaysian homes.
The initiative also seeks to position LaLaport as a premium hub integrating multiple Japanese brands, including home furnishing brands such as Nitori and Aatas Living, to deliver a complete lifestyle ecosystem covering daily living needs. Nojima APAC Pte Ltd director Tomonori Amma added that the collaboration reflects the company's commitment to enhancing the customer experience and delivering greater value to Malaysian consumers. The partnership with Sharp Malaysia enables Nojima to offer trusted brands and innovative solutions that improve daily living, allowing customers to enjoy new technology and products that make life easier at home.
