Port dickson: A soldier suffered facial injuries after being accidentally shot by a colleague at a firing range in Sungai Menyala, Port Dickson, yesterday. Negeri Sembilan Police deputy chief SAC Mohd Nasharudin Mohd Shariff stated that the incident occurred at about 2.15 pm during a shooting practice session involving the victim and several other personnel.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the victim, who is in his 20s, was initially taken to Port Dickson Hospital and later transferred to Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital for further treatment. The soldier is reported to be in a stable condition following the incident.

Following the shooting, a man in his 20s was detained under Section 37 of the Arms Act 1960 and Section 337 of the Penal Code to assist with investigations.
