Dodecanese Islands: A strong earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale hit the Dodecanese Islands, Greece at 7.17 am today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), in a statement, said the earthquake, with a depth of 59 kilometres (km), occurred approximately 227 km southeast of Izmir, Turkiye.

However, there is no tsunami threat to Malaysia.
