Sultan Ibrahim Confers Awards on 159 Police Personnel

Kuala Lumpur:His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, conferred the Panglima Gagah Pasukan Polis (PGPP) First Class award on Bukit Aman Special Branch director Datuk Seri Ibrahim Darus at the 2026 Police Gallantry and Bravery Awards ceremony held at Istana Negara.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ibrahim was among 159 recipients honored for their service, dedication, and sacrifices in maintaining the country's security and peace. The ceremony recognized personnel from the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).

The awards were also given to several other high-ranking officials, including Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department director Datuk Seri Muhammed Hasbullah Ali, Integrity and Standards Compliance Department director Datuk Aida Abdul Hamid, and Logistics and Technology Department director Datuk Redzuan Abd Hamid.

Other recipients included Bukit Aman Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department director Datuk Seri Noor Hisam Nordin, PDRM Management Department director Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah, as well as Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Kedah police chiefs Datuk Shazeli Kahar, Datuk Fadil Marsus, and Datuk Adzli Abu Shah, respectively.

Additionally, Bukit Aman Special Branch deputy director Datuk Mohd Hairuddin Che Hamid and Special Branch deputy director II Datuk Mohammad Shaharul Md Osman completed the list of PGPP awardees.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, Home Ministry secretary-general Datuk Dr Awang Alik Jeman, and Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail.

Sultan Ibrahim also awarded the Panglima Setia Pasukan Polis (PSPP) to 31 recipients, the Pahlawan Pasukan Polis (PPP) to 44 recipients, and the Kesatria Pasukan Polis (KPP) to 15 recipients. Additionally, 58 individuals received the Bentara Pasukan Polis (BPP).
