Temporary Diversion on Gua Musang-Lojing Road to Reopen, Restoring Key Transport Links

Gua musang: A temporary diversion on the Gua Musang-Lojing road, closed since December 3 last year due to a landslide, will open from Thursday, May 21.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kelantan Public Works, Infrastructure, Water, and Rural Development Committee chairman Datuk Dr Izani Husin emphasized the importance of reopening the route to restore transport connectivity between Kelantan, Pahang, and Perak. The road closure has significantly disrupted transportation since the landslide.

"The reopening of this route is undoubtedly important in restoring the transport network and revitalizing the interstate economic sectors, particularly involving agriculture, tourism, and logistics," Dr. Izani stated. He expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Works and the Works Minister for their cooperation and efforts in addressing the issue.

Dr. Izani advised motorists to remain cautious while using the temporary diversion, as it is still under development. The landslide that caused the closure occurred at Section 107.6 of the Gua Musang-Lojing Road (FT185) at Pos Blau, believed to have been triggered by underground water movement.
