TFC Face Injury Concerns In Quarter-final Quest

Terengganu: Terengganu FC's (TFC) preparations for tomorrow night's FA Cup round-of-16 second leg against DPMM FC have been disrupted by injuries to four key players. Head coach Mohd Nafuzi Zain shared that Romel Morales, Muhammad Danial Amier Norhisham, Ngweni Ndasi, and striker Gervane Kastaneer are all rated 50-50 for the match at Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the situation could compel the former national Under-23 head coach to reshuffle his starting line-up as the Turtles aim to secure a spot in the quarter-finals. Nafuzi emphasized the importance of fielding fully fit and ready players as they pursue their quarter-final aspirations. He also cautioned his team against complacency despite holding a narrow one-goal advantage, with expectations of a more aggressive approach from Jamie McAllister's DPMM.

The coach highlighted the necessity for TFC to enhance both their attacking and defensive play to prevent DPMM from capitalizing on any weaknesses. He reminded his team that a one-goal lead offers no guarantees with 90 minutes still to play and noted DPMM's confidence following their recent victory over Sabah FC. Nafuzi urged his players to maintain focus, play cohesively, and strengthen their defense to avoid conceding goals.

Furthermore, Nafuzi called on TFC supporters to attend the match in support of the team as they strive to advance to the quarter-finals. He stressed the significance of fan presence in providing additional motivation and moral support to the players.
