Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Forecasted in Seven Malaysian States

Kuala lumpur: Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected to hit seven states until 5 pm today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, a weather warning was issued at 3.15 pm by MetMalaysia, highlighting that the affected areas in Perak include Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, and Kuala Kangsar. In Selangor, the warning extends to Hulu Langat and Sepang. Negeri Sembilan is also on alert, particularly in Jelebu, Seremban, Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah, and Rembau.

The east coast is not spared, with adverse weather predicted in the Kelantan districts of Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang, and Pasir Puteh. Additionally, Kuala Nerus and Kuala Terengganu in Terengganu are under warning.

In Sarawak, the warning encompasses areas such as Kuching (Bau and Kuching), Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Kapit (Song and Bukit Mabong), Bintulu (Bintulu and Sebauh), and Miri (Subis, Beluru, and Marudi). Meanwhile, in Sabah, the affected area includes Tawau (Lahad Datu).
