Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Warning Issued for Eight Malaysian States

Metmalaysia: MetMalaysia has issued a thunderstorm and heavy rain warning for eight states, effective until 1:30 am tomorrow. The warning includes several regions in Kedah, Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Selangor, Sarawak, and Sabah.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the affected areas in Kedah are Sik, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu, while Perak's affected regions include Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang, and Muallim. In Kelantan, the districts of Jeli, Tanah Merah, Machang, Pasir Puteh, Kuala Krai, and Gua Musang are expected to experience similar weather conditions. Terengganu's Besut and Hulu Terengganu are also under warning.

Pahang's areas of concern are Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Bera, Pekan, and Rompin. In Selangor, Hulu Selangor is on alert. For Sarawak, the regions affected include Sri Aman (Lubok Antu), Kapit (Song, Kapit, and Belaga), Bintulu (Tatau and Sebauh), Miri (Miri and Marudi), and Limbang. In Sabah, the warning encompasses Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Nabawan, and the Sandakan areas of Tongod and Telupid, as well as the Federal Territory of Labuan.
