Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Warning Issued for Kuala Lumpur, Johor, and Eight Other States

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds impacting the federal capital, Johor, and eight other states until 6 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia's statement highlighted that adverse weather conditions are anticipated in Perlis and Kedah, affecting areas such as Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Yan, Pendang, Sik, and Baling. In Perak, the regions of Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang, and Muallim are also expected to experience similar conditions.

Additionally, the forecast includes Kelantan (Jeli), Terengganu (Besut, Hulu Terengganu, and Kemaman), Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Kuantan, Pekan, and Rompin), and Selangor, specifically targeting Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling, and Hulu Langat.

In Sarawak, the affected areas are projected to encompass Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sibu, and Mukah, focusing on Matu, Dalat, and Mukah districts.
