Kuala lumpur: Yayasan Taqwa under the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) will cover the registration fees for 19-year-old Muhammad Aidil Izzuddin Akhbar Nizam, who is facing financial difficulties in continuing his studies at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar. He stated that Muhammad Aidil will also receive a laptop to assist with his studies.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Mohd Na'im reached out to Muhammad Aidil via video call to express his concern and commitment to supporting him. He assured that any additional support needed would be considered to help Muhammad Aidil start his studies smoothly.
Dr Mohd Na'im emphasized the importance of education as a pathway to success and stressed that every young person should have equal opportunities. He expressed hope that this support would inspire Muhammad Aidil and other students in similar situations. He highlighted that Muhammad Aidil's educational pursuits should not be hindered, especially given his family's situation with his father being bedridden from a stroke and his mother working hard selling kuih to support them.
Muhammad Aidil's financial challenges were recently highlighted by a local newspaper, prompting the intervention.
