Kuala lumpur: Applications for admission to public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions for the January 2026 session are now open until November 16. The National TVET Council secretariat announced that applications through UP_TVET Perdana can be made via their online portal.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, a total of 94 public TVET institutions under the Rural and Regional Development Ministry, the Human Resources Ministry, and the Youth and Sports Ministry are offering 460 courses at degree, diploma, and certificate levels for the January 2026 intake. These institutions include prominent names such as Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), Kolej Universiti Agrosains Malaysia (UCAM), and MARA Skills Institutes/MARA Colleges of High Skills.
Other institutions offering courses for the upcoming session include the German-Malaysian Institute (GMI), Kolej KEDA, Kolej RISDA, Kolej KETENGAH, Akademi Kemahiran KEMAS, Advanced Technology Training Centre (ADTEC), Japan-Malaysia Technical Institute (JMTI), National Youth Institutes of Higher Skills (IKTBN), and National Youth Skills Institutes (IKBN). Applications are open to school leavers, youth, and individuals aiming to pursue careers through TVET.
The statement further mentioned that for the July 2025 session, UP_TVET Perdana received 182,162 applications from 42,365 applicants, with 23,038 candidates offered places to pursue full-time studies at public TVET institutions.
