Kuala lumpur: RHB Islamic Bank Berhad, in strategic collaboration with Lembaga Zakat Negeri Kedah (LZNK), recently held the Launch and Handover Ceremony of the Zakat Wakalah Distribution for the Economic Empowerment Project: Houseboat, benefiting members of the Tasik Gubir Inland Fishermen's Association. The initiative aims to support the asnaf fishermen by providing them with resources to enhance their economic opportunities.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the ceremony was officiated by Dato' Adissadikin Ali, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of RHB Islamic Bank Berhad, together with Dato' Syeikh Zakaria Othman, Chief Executive Officer of LZNK. This collaboration is part of ongoing efforts to empower local communities through sustainable projects that can improve livelihoods and foster economic growth. The houseboat project is expected to play a crucial role in boosting the income and productivity of the fishermen involved.
