Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives concluded with mixed results on Friday.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, at the close of trading, the October 2025 and November 2025 contracts each experienced a decline of 0.5 of-a-point, settling at 1,631.50 and 1,631.00, respectively. Meanwhile, the December 2025 contract saw an uptick of 0.5 of-a-point to end at 1,628.50, and the March 2026 contract increased by 1.0 point, closing at 1,609.
The turnover for these futures contracts decreased to 9,007 lots, compared to 9,453 lots on Thursday. Despite the drop in turnover, open interest expanded to 48,165 contracts from the previous day's total of 47,487.
By 5 pm, the FBM KLCI itself registered a decrease of 2.74 points, or 0.16%, bringing the index down to 1,635.06 from Thursday's closing figure of 1,637.80.
