Shah alam: Police have arrested a man to assist in investigations into a fight involving several individuals in Taman Alam Megah here, believed to have occurred recently. Shah Alam District Police Chief ACP Sarudin Samah stated the suspect was apprehended after receiving information from the public regarding the incident.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, a review of closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage revealed a group of men engaged in a fight, with several of them seen slashing one another. A blue multi-purpose vehicle was also seen striking one of the suspects, who died at the scene.

Earlier, a one-minute video dated August 23, 2026, went viral on social media, showing a group of individuals fighting on the road before one of them was struck by a vehicle.

Sarudin mentioned that police had opened an investigation paper under Section 302 of the Penal Code. Authorities have urged anyone with information to contact senior investigating officer ASP Shamsiah Noor Zakaria at 012-8308706 or the nearest police station. He also advised the public to refrain from speculating about the incident.
