Kuala lumpur: The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) is still waiting for a full report from Indonesian authorities regarding the arrest of a Malaysian man and his girlfriend in the country linked to vapes. Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail stated that PDRM has not yet received a complete report on the case.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the media reported today that a Malaysian was arrested after being suspected of involvement in distributing electronic cigarettes or vapes containing drugs in Medan, Indonesia, last week. The 22-year-old man was arrested with his 35-year-old girlfriend, who is an Indonesian citizen.

Inspector-General Mohd Khalid Ismail, after conducting a working visit to the illegal Lubok Gong base in Rantau Panjang, emphasized the need for a comprehensive report. "We still have not received a full report, so I will wait for the report from there, and I will make sure that if there is any new development, I will make sure that we inform reporters," he said.

The couple was reportedly apprehended with 29 vapes containing drug liquids, as detailed in a report by Antara News. The case has drawn attention due to the cross-border nature of the crime and the involvement of both Malaysian and Indonesian nationals.
