Sepang:Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen celebrated a hard-fought victory at the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia at the Sepang International Circuit.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Verstappen described the race as "very hectic," particularly due to a challenging start where his car lacked power initially. Despite these early difficulties, Verstappen and his team made strategic decisions that allowed him to gradually make his way to the front of the pack and secure the win.
The win was especially gratifying for Verstappen following the challenges Red Bull Racing faced earlier in the season. He expressed pride in the team's progress and satisfaction with the victory, noting the hard work that had contributed to their success.
Verstappen completed the 55-lap race in one hour, 47 minutes and 14.808 seconds. He finished 2.307 seconds ahead of Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team's Kimi Antonelli, with Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton rounding out the podium, 4.919 seconds behind the winner.
