Smooth Arrival for F1 Fans at Sepang Circuit Ahead of Bahrain GP

Sepang:Thousands of Formula 1 fans arrived at the Sepang International Circuit today, facilitated by additional shuttle buses and staff to ease their journey.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, fans began entering the circuit around 11 am in anticipation of the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, set to start at 3 pm. This smooth arrival was a relief for many, following congestion issues on previous days.

Lawyer Thariq Abdullah, who traveled from Puchong with his family, noted an improvement in the transport arrangements. "Much better today. Friday was quite chaotic, but today looks better as there are more buses and marshals," he said, hoping for similar efficiency when spectators leave after the race.

Thariq also highlighted the excitement surrounding the event, marking F1's return to Malaysia after a nine-year hiatus. "Malaysia has not hosted it for a long time, so people are excited. There may be a generation who have never experienced this atmosphere before, and they are here to enjoy it," he added.

Spectators benefited from free shuttle services from KLIA Terminal 2, Mitsui Outlet Park, Sepang, and Bandar Baru Enstek, Nilai. In response to the hot weather, a drinking water station was set up near the SIC entrance to provide water for those waiting for buses. Hope Huan Hee Keng, an assistant manager of a contracting company, confirmed the installation of the station to help spectators stay hydrated.
