Kuala lumpur: AmBank Group will continue to strengthen its strategic partnerships with Chinese banks such as China Construction Bank (CCB), Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), and Bank of China to support the inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Malaysia. The initiative also involves collaboration with leading Chinese entities to facilitate business relationships between Chinese investors and industrial park developers in Malaysia.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, AmBank Group's chairman emeritus and honorary advisor, Tan Sri Azman Hashim, emphasized that the group's collaboration with Huawei aims to bolster environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and digital transformation initiatives. This reflects a shared vision of building a sustainable and innovative future. The efforts are expected to help Chinese investors establish their operations in Malaysia, thereby strengthening economic ties between Malaysia and China.
The announcement was made during the AmBank Group's 50th Anniversary celebration gala dinner, which was attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the guest of honour. The event also marked the unveiling of AmBank's refreshed camel mascot, Aman, which symbolizes unity, progress, and national pride. The mascot first appeared at the 68th National Merdeka Parade, showcasing these core values.
