Sabah: The number of flood victims in Sabah has decreased to 1,387 people from 442 families as of 4 pm today. This marks a reduction from the 1,462 people from 467 families reported at noon.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Sabah State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat announced that the temporary relief centre at Masjid Darul Ikhlas in the Beaufort district was closed at noon due to improved flood conditions. However, four relief centres remain operational in Beaufort to support the affected residents.
No casualties have been reported in the wake of the floods. Meanwhile, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has forecasted rain in parts of Sabah's Interior this afternoon and tonight.
